Frequently Asked Questions

MyPotsTracker is a progressive web app (PWA) designed to help individuals track and organize POTS-related symptoms, hydration, medications, and daily health patterns over time. The app helps users identify trends, recognize potential triggers, and better prepare for conversations with healthcare providers.

As a progressive web app, MyPotsTracker works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices and can be installed directly from your browser—no app store download is required.

What MyPotsTracker is NOT

MyPotsTracker is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. It does not replace a doctor, specialist, or other qualified healthcare professional, and it does not monitor, detect, or alert users to medical emergencies or urgent health conditions. Any health concerns or changes in symptoms should always be discussed with a licensed healthcare provider.

Tracking symptoms in MyPotsTracker is simple and flexible. After signing in, you can add a symptom entry by selecting the Log Symptom from the Quick Actions section. Select the symptom you’re experiencing and logging details such as severity, time of day, and any notes you want to include. You can record symptoms as often as you need, based on what you’re experiencing. If your account status is Trialing, Pro or Family – you may create and add your own custom symptoms.

Your entries are saved securely and displayed in charts and summaries so you can view patterns and changes over time. This information is intended to help you organize your personal observations and support conversations with your healthcare provider.

MyPotsTracker does not interpret symptoms, provide medical advice, or alert you to medical concerns. If you experience new, worsening, or concerning symptoms, you should contact a qualified healthcare professional.

Yes. MyPotsTracker takes data security and privacy seriously. Your information is stored using industry-standard security practices, including secure authentication and protected data storage. Access to your account is limited to you, and reasonable safeguards are in place to help protect your data from unauthorized access.

We only collect information necessary to provide the app’s functionality, and your data is not sold or shared for advertising purposes. You remain in control of the information you choose to log.

That said, no online system can guarantee absolute security. MyPotsTracker is not a medical records system and should not be used to store emergency or critical medical information. For full details on how your data is handled, please review our Privacy Policy.

MyPotsTracker is intended for individuals managing POTS or POTS-related symptoms who want a structured way to track daily experiences such as symptoms, hydration, and routines. It may also be useful for caregivers or family members who help track information for someone else, such as a dependent.

The app is designed for personal tracking and organizational purposes only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.

MyPotsTracker is not intended for children under the age of 13 to use independently. Individuals under 13 may only be tracked by a parent or legal guardian using a family or caregiver account, in accordance with our Terms of Use.

Anyone experiencing medical concerns should consult a qualified healthcare professional for diagnosis and care.

No— MyPOTSTracker does not have dedicated medication or blood-pressure logging fields. You can however, if you are trialing, a Pro or Family subscriber – you can “hack” the app by utilizing the Custom Symptom and notes section.

Consider this: Use a consistent format so your entries are easy to read, search, and export.

1. Go to Log Symptom

  • Create a new Custom Symptom with the lable of “Medication” or “Blood Pressure”.
  • Once that is created, go back to Log Symptom > at the bottom select the new sympom name > date and time automatically are set > include the information in the Potential Triggers or Additional Notes section.

2. Use a consistent entry format

  • Medication example (single-line):
Medication | DrugName 10 mg | taken method
  • BP example (single-line):
    120/80 mmHg | (activity) sitting | method
  • Add extra detail in the symptom notes if needed (e.g., posture, arm used, cuff type, pre/post activity).

3. Use the severity/frequency/tags fields (optional)

  • You could, at your discression, repurpose severity drop down to indicate dose size or systolic values.

4. Keep it consistent

  • Choose one format and stick to it (important for searching, filters, and export).
  • Example canonical formats to copy/paste:
    • Medication: Medication | [Name] [dose] | [HH:MM] | [taken/missed]
    • Blood Pressure: BP | [systolic]/[diastolic] mmHg | [HH:MM] | [position]
